Harvey stared back at her, appropriately contrite. He looked ashamedly down at his feet, his pasty white face slightly flushed with embarrassment. |

Suddenly it occurred to Cappy that he had been up for a while, roaming aimlessly about her stark little apartment. She hadn't heard him poking around in anything, but what if he had been? What if he discovered some of the money she had taken out of his wallet? What if he knew? The thought both frightened her and refueled her anger. |

"What the hell have you been up to, anyway?" she snarled. "You don't have any right to go snooping around my apartment, especially not after the way you acted." |
